LetterMyComic Launches: Professional Comic Lettering in Your Browser

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — LetterMyComic today announced the launch of lettermycomic.com, a complete comic-book lettering studio that runs entirely in the web browser. Built for indie creators, small-press studios and webcomic artists, LetterMyComic brings the balloon-first, drag-and-drop workflow letterers loved in classic desktop tools to every modern platform — with no installation, no plugins, and page output ready for the printer.
Comic lettering has long forced a choice between general-purpose design software that fights the medium and beloved desktop tools that stopped being updated. LetterMyComic is built the other way around: every tool in it exists because comic pages need it.
Word balloons that behave like ink
Balloons are the heart of the studio. Speech, thought, shout, burst, caption and hand-sketched custom shapes all carry pointed tails you aim at the speaker with a single drag. Drop one balloon onto another and they join automatically — connected by an open band, the way hand-inked dialogue chains have always been drawn. Joined balloons share their fill and gradient across the whole chain, melt into a single shape when they touch, and separate cleanly again. Chains of three, four or five bubbles join in any order, in either direction.

Type built for comics
The studio ships with 600+ comic fonts and 100+ ready lettering styles, plus import for a letterer's own fonts. Dialogue follows comic-grammar conventions automatically, including the crossbar-I rule. Individual words can be bolded, italicised or underlined inline, exactly as emphasis is done on the printed page. A full comic script can be imported and broken into balloons automatically, and built-in spelling and grammar proofing checks every balloon on the page.
Sound effects and lettering that sits inside the art
Display lettering gets arc and envelope warping, gradient and texture fills, brush edges and glows. The studio's Tuck Back tool slips a sound effect behind foreground artwork — its magnetic tracer snaps to the art's own edges, so a KRAKOOM can dive behind a character's arm in seconds and read like it was painted there.
From artwork to the printer
Pages import artwork in PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF or PDF, and lay out on real comic page sizes with bleed and safe-area guides at print resolution. Finished books export as PNG, JPG or TIFF, as PDF with crop and bleed marks, or as CBZ for digital readers — and a lettering-only export hands transparent overlays back to the artist or production team.
Your pages stay yours
LetterMyComic uses no generative AI: nothing on the page is generated, and creators' pages are never used to train anything. Full-resolution artwork stays in the creator's browser rather than being pushed through the cloud. Work saves continuously to the browser and to a project library, so a session survives a closed laptop.
